Schmidt is invited in many different settings but these are the ones he leads and/or co-created:

The Boris Schmidt Band plays original compositions which are equally influenced by modern jazz, classical music and the great american songbook tradition.

with Lorenzo Di Maio on guitar, Bruno Van Der Haegen on tenor sax/bass clarinet and Lionel Beuvens on drums

Schmidt & Salemi

After noticing a natural connection and understanding in their execution of standards these two musicians started inviting each other over to their respective bands. A short while later the decision was made to combine their repertoires in a highly melodic, harmonious duo setting. Among their personal compositions they also mix in some South American tunes.

Simón Gonzáles & Boris Schmidt

Latin traditional songs and own compositions in a similar style by both musicians. Beautiful dialogue between a bass and a guitar, between Choro, Zamba, Merengue and Jazz.

Duo with Francesco Turrisi

These two musicians have known each other for over a decade and finally decided to take their collaboration to the purest form. nothing gets in the way of their musical conversation in this duo playing compositions by both.

[Well this aged badly. I still enjoy playing with Francesco but since he started winning Grammies and touring the world with Rhiannon Giddens he's too busy to come to little ole Belgium...]

as a sideman:
